BizPro Terms & Conditions

Welcome to BizPro Inc. (“BizPro”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a Calgary, Alberta-based B2B contractor reputation and project management platform. By accessing or using BizPro.ca, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

1. Eligibility & Account Requirements

To create a BizPro account and post reviews, you must:

Be a registered business entity in Canada (sole proprietor, corporation, or partnership)
Hold a valid Alberta Business License, GST number, or WCB account number
Be 18 years of age or older and authorized to represent your business
Have direct, first-hand B2B working experience with any company you review
Not be a direct competitor of BizPro operating a materially similar platform

⚠️ No anonymous reviews are permitted. All accounts must be tied to a verified Canadian business identity. Consumer reviews and personal (non-commercial) reviews are not accepted on this platform.

2. Review Policy — Standards & Conduct

BizPro is a B2B-only review platform. All reviews must comply with the following standards:

Direct Experience Required: You may only review a company with whom you have had a direct commercial working relationship.
Accuracy: Reviews must be factually accurate and based on your own experience. Fabricated, exaggerated, or misleading reviews are prohibited.
No Personal Attacks: Reviews must refer to the company’s conduct, not personal individuals by name.
Single Review Per Relationship: You may post one review per project or working engagement.
No Competitive Reviews: You may not post negative reviews about a direct competitor for anti-competitive purposes.
Right of Response: Reviewed companies have 14 days to respond publicly to any review before it is finalized on their profile.

🚨 Legal Warning: Submitting a false, defamatory, or malicious review may result in account termination and civil liability under Alberta’s Defamation Act. BizPro will cooperate fully with legal proceedings involving false reviews.

3. Dispute Resolution Policy

BizPro’s Dispute Centre allows verified users to file payment disputes, flag contract breaches, and challenge reviews. The following terms apply:

30-Day Escrow Period: All dispute flags are held privately for 30 days. The disputed company is notified and given an opportunity to resolve the issue directly.
14-Day Response Window: The named company has 14 days to submit a formal response through BizPro.
BizPro Moderation: Our moderation team reviews all evidence within 5 business days of the escrow period closing.
Publication: Confirmed disputes are published on the company’s public profile and affect their BizPro Score™.
Not Legal Counsel: BizPro does not provide legal advice. For lien filings, users must engage a qualified Alberta construction lawyer.
No Guarantee of Recovery: BizPro facilitates reputational transparency only and does not guarantee payment recovery.

4. Platform Payment Terms

Pro and Enterprise subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in Canadian dollars (CAD), exclusive of applicable GST/HST.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the renewal date.
Refunds are available within 7 days of initial subscription only.
Downgrading from Pro to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
BizPro reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days written notice to active subscribers.

5. BizPro Score™

The BizPro Score™ is a proprietary composite rating using a weighted algorithm incorporating: review ratings (payment, quality, communication, scheduling, professionalism), payment dispute history, job completion rate, response time, and account verification status.

📊 The BizPro Score™ is an informational tool only. It does not constitute a financial credit score, professional certification, or endorsement. Users should conduct their own due diligence before entering any commercial agreement.

6. Limitation of Liability

BizPro Inc. provides the platform on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, BizPro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including losses from reliance on reviews, BizPro Score™, third-party content, or service interruptions.

7. Privacy Policy

BizPro Inc. is committed to protecting personal and business information in accordance with Canada’s PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA. We collect business registration information, contact details, review content, payment records, messaging records, and usage data to operate the platform, verify identities, and resolve disputes.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may share information with law enforcement where required by Canadian law or in connection with verified legal dispute proceedings.

8. Cookie Policy

BizPro uses essential, functional, and analytics cookies. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. You may opt out of analytics cookies at any time through your account settings or browser preferences.

9. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
